Champlain + Brule on Lake Nipissing

File documents the design of a bas relief commemorating the arrival of French explorers Samuel de Champlain and Etienne Brule at Lake Nipissing in 1615. File contains sketches by Hans Wiemer of the relief's design, a map titled "Exodus of Nipissing from Lake Nipissing to Lake Nipigon - 1650-1651," and a photograph of the relief.

Kelly Morgan

File contains a variety of photographs depicting: trains crossing a trestle, a steam shovel excavating, railway ties loaded on truck, engineer (?) "Barney" Morgan, the last Ontario Northland passenger train from Timmins (1989), a railway caboose of the Temiskaming & Northern Ontario Railway, and a train crew with their locomotive. File also contains permission signed by Kelly Morgan authorizing Surtees to use the photos "of Mr. T. Morgan and others" in his book.

File contains a collection of items sent by Fleece to Surtees, including a list of railway slang vocabulary with definitions, a map of the Ontario Northland Railway's North Bay shops, and a souvenir folder of North Bay postcards from 1925. The file also includes photocopies of news clippings, an inventory of quarterlies from 1946-1970, a personnel file, an essay entitled "The Contribution of C.C. Farr to the Development of the Lesser Clay Belt - 1872-1905" by Jane Gerrie Barnum (April 1971), and a program from the unveiling of a historical plaque in Swastika, Ontario (September 26, 1976).
