Charter hearings

File documents preparations for the fact-finding visit by the Ontario Council on University Affairs' subcommittee responsible for assessing Nipissing University College's charter application. File contains schedules, reports, Charter Advisory Committee minutes and meeting attendance lists, enrollment graphs, memoranda, presentations, requisition forms, faculty lists, and notes.

Charter

File relates to the drafting and introduction of a private member's bill to grant a university charter to Nipissing University College. Charter speeches and presentations

File contains speeches by President Dave Marshall and others during celebrations of the university charter, convocation, and Nipissing's 25th anniversary. File also contains a copy of the "President's presentation to the Subcommittee on the Ontario Council on University Affairs regarding Nipissing University College's application for degree-granting status," and a summary of arguments for and against the charter.

Nipissing Early History Committee

Series documents efforts by the Nipissing Early History Committee (headed by Susan Robineau, Secretary to the University/Board of Governors) to gather and preserve records relating to the early history (and prehistory) of Nipissing University, mainly the period from the late 1950s to the early 1970s.
