Parrott Committee Presentation

File contains proposals, presentations, and memoranda submitted to the Committee on University Education in Northeastern Ontario (the Parrott Committee) by different groups, working papers regarding cost studies, correspondence, and a list of organizations and individuals who made presentations to the Committee at hearings held February 3-4, 1983.

Item is a corporate desk seal consisting of a seal press with two dies and used for embossing documents with the corporate seal. The seal press is made of cast iron painted black, and bears a brass plate reading : Nipissing College - Ontario corporation. One die is made of brass (marked : Sold by Newsome & Gilbert Limited), the other of lead (?).

Item is a bound volume containing documents related to the establishment of Northeastern University and Nipissing College including: the charter, letters patent, supplementary letters patent (changing the name of Northeastern University to Nipissing College in 1967), by-laws, director's register, minutes of meetings of the membership and meetings of the directors of Northeastern University and Nipissing College. File also contains a copy of a legislative bill entitled "An act respecting Northeastern University of Ontario.'"
