Anniversary clippings

File contains news clippings about the church's 50th and 55th anniversary celebrations in 1978 and 1983, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Frederica Taylor Unit in 1997.

Postcards

File contains postcards of North Bay and other locations in and near the Nipissing District including: the French River, Lake Nipissing, Trout Lake, Lake Nosbonsing, Sturgeon Falls, Mattawa, Nipissing, Callander, Lavigne, Bonfield, Monetville, Saint Charles and Port Loring. The postcards depict: tourist attractions (such as parks, lakes, beaches, rivers, and waterfalls), tourist accommodations (including hotels, cottages, resorts, and camps), city scenes and buildings (including schools, railway stations, churches, municipal buildings, hospitals, and factories), the Dionne Quintuplets, the Chief Commanda steam ship, and trains.

File also contains a few postcards of other places including Temagami, Timmins, Cobalt, Lake Superior, Pembroke, Haileybury, Owen Sound, and Prince Rupert, BC. File additionally includes several souvenir folders containing postcards of Ontario, North Bay, and humorous cartoons.

Conolly Family postcards and photographs

File contains a postcard collection that was created by the Conolly Family, a pioneering family in South River. The collection consists of a postcard album and loose postcards. Postcards include photographs of South River (including the chemical plant and the Conolly home [?]), Sundridge, Magnetawan, Trout Creek, Huntsville, Toronto, and Vegreville (Alberta), as well as holiday greeting postcards received by the family.

Booklets contain general tourist information about Ontario and photographs of tourist destinations.

Captains of the Clouds journal articles

File contains four articles by Rudy Mauro about the 1942 film "Captains of the Clouds" which were published in the Journal of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society. The articles are titled: "The making of 'Captains of the Clouds:' From a half century's perspective" (published in Vol. 29 No. 2 - Summer 1991), "The making of 'Captains of the Clouds:' Shooting the bush flying sequences" (Vol. 29 No. 3 - Fall 1991), "Captain of the Clouds - A postscript: Further information on this wartime flying epic" (Vol. 33 No. 1 - Spring 1995), and "Recovering the 'Cagney Norseman:' Salvaging the remains of CF-AYO after four decades" (Vol. 39 No. 1 - Spring 2001).

File contains three books about the Ipperwash Crisis and treaty rights that were presented to Mike Harris by Maurice Switzer, Director of Communications of the Union of Ontario Indians, at the official opening of the Harris Learning Library on June 25, 2011. The file also contains a fourth book that Maurice Switzer had intended be part of the original presentation, which he sent to Brian Nettlefold in September 2011.
