Photographs

Series contains photographs created, received, and/or used by the Office of Integrated Marketing and Communications for communication and promotional purposes. Photographs document special events and academic and student life on campus. Common subjects of photographs include: convocations, awards ceremonies, faculty and staff, special events, university buildings and campus, students, athletics, and clubs.

Series is arranged into five sub-series: Binders; Print files (by subject); Print files (numbered); Prints; Prints (by roll/project).

Binders

Subseries contains negatives, prints, slides, and positives that were arranged in binders by the OIMC. Common subjects of photographs include: convocations, awards ceremonies, faculty and staff, special events (such as anniversary celebrations, building opening ceremonies, news conferences, VIP visits), campus buildings and scenery, students, athletics, construction, and clubs.

Photographs are arranged as they were originally by the OIMC, in binders by date range and/or format.

Prints (by roll/project)

Subseries contains photographic prints arranged by roll/project. The prints from each roll/project are housed in an envelope with a label the includes some or all of the following information: photographer name, name of agency that the work was done for, date, location, file number, title/description, number of photos, source, and negatives (yes or no).

Binder 045

Sub-subseries contains photographs of subjects/events including: Alcan property trips, SIFE fundraiser 1999, new Founders House residence (1997), Zimbabwean students, election 2001, building of new academic wing, convocation, Student Services, Education lounge, NTCP group, campus, staff, Native student lounge ceremony, Dave Marshall and Hydro, Nipissing awards. Sub-subseries also contains records related to the land agreement with Alcan.

Nipissing University negatives

Sub-subseries contains photographs arranged in the following titled sections: scholarships, Shinerama, special events, staff, Winter Classic, admin, ALCAN property, alumni, athl[etics], awards, Business students, campus, clubs, Computer Science, conferences, Educ[ation] faculty, Educ[ation] st[udents], faculty members, frosh, FYI, graduation / ES, Geography, H. shot, liaison, Int[ernational] st[udents], misc, Muskoka campus, Native topics, new res[idence], NUSU, publications, review / i, Sociology, staff, student clubs / activities, Student Services events, topology, Winter Classic.
