Speeches were written for the opening ceremony of North Bay Collegiate Institute and Vocational School, the conventions of the Grand Black Chapter of Ontario West and the Grand Lodge of the Ladies Orange Benevolent Association, and the opening of broadcasting station CFCH North Bay. The scrapbook also contains clippings of political commentary and federal election results from <i>The Canadian</i> magazine, and a booklet titled "Political cartoons reproduced from The Evening Telegram - Toronto."
