Series also contains souvenir booklets from civic anniversary celebrations in Powassan, Cobalt, and Renfrew.

Education Centre Library vertical file collection

Collection consists of pamphlets, articles, reports, and ephemera relating to North Bay and northeastern Ontario that were collected by the Education Centre Library for its vertical file (a collection of documents maintained by a library to provide easy access to information about frequently-requested topics; vertical files were especially popular before the rise of the Internet). The collection was created from the early 1970s, when the Library was founded, until the dissolution of the vertical file in the late 2000s.

Most files are arranged alphabetically by subject or by place name (in the case of items relating to communities other than North Bay).

Near North outdoor recreation brochures

File contains outdoor recreation brochures for attractions in the Near North region including: the Corbeil Interpretive Trail, the Restoule-Upper French Canoe Route and Dokis Canoe Route, the Mercer Lake - Little French River Canoe Route, Restoule Provincial Park, Lake Point Cottages (on the south shore of Lake Nipissing), West Nipissing adventure trails, and trails in the Magnetawan area.

The scribe

File contains the first two issues of The Scribe, a student magazine founded by Erin Bouman and Letlotlo Gariba which they described as "a collaborative youth effort to combat apathy in our own little community of North Bay."
