Biographical history

Isabel Mauro, born Isabel May McDonald, was a student from North Bay, Ontario who attended North Bay Normal School in 1940-1941. From her teacher's day books, it appears that Mauro may have worked as a teacher in Eau Claire, Ontario following her graduation.

Custodial history

The records in the fonds were originally in the custody of Isabel Mauro. On 23 June 2006, Mauro donated the three day books to Nipissing University's Institute for Community Studies and Oral History (ICSOH), which gave them the accession number 2006/4. Francoise Noel transferred the day books to the Archives on behalf of the ICSOH in 2014. The other records were donated by Isabel and R[udy?] Mauro via Dave Mackey on an unknown date.

Scope and content

Fonds relates to Mauro's year as a student at North Bay Normal School in 1940-1941. The fonds consists of a scrapbook and a file of drawings that she created as part of her coursework.
